Today we can safely say that winemaking in the world has gone from Georgia. That is, the first winemakers were here, for the first time the wine was made in Georgia 8,2 thousand years ago. This is scientifically proven – then there already existed vineyards and people were engaged in winemaking. Leading scientists from seven countries for three years studied archaeological objects found in Georgia: these are ancient grape seeds, clay vessels and traces of acid in these vessels, which eventually turned out to be wines.
