Jeremy Clarkson called Georgia a “fairyland”

Famous British TV presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May stayed in Georgia for several days. In less than a week, they filmed a new episode of a car show, visiting Batumi, Gori, Khurvaleti, Rustavi and Tbilisi. The roads of Georgia checked the cars of the Bentley, BMW and Aston Martin brands.

Before leaving, the TV presenters met with the head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration, Giorgi Chogovadze. In a conversation with him, a British journalist, Jeremy Clarkson, called Georgia a “fairy-tale country,” promising to return.

“Georgia is a fantastic country with wonderful wines, weather and sincere people. I will definitely return to your country. Georgia is the pearl of Europe, full of secrets,”said the TV presenter.

Chogovadze, in turn, noted that the Georgian edition of The Grand Tour will help popularize the country and attract even more travelers.

“Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are the people who became especially popular in the television space thanks to the Top Gear project. Half a million people watch their Grand Tour program, thanks to it, many of them will get acquainted with Georgia and they will have a desire to come to our country,”Chogovadze said.
