The first Miss World was the Georgian princess.

In Georgia, beautiful women have never been a wonder, in all epochs there were legends about Georgian beauties. But few probably know that in the last century at the beauty contest in Paris, in which only women from the high circle took part, the Georgian princess Catherine Tarkhan-Mouravi became the winner.
The French, it turns out, because of her love of the water nicknamed Catherine “white swan”. This competition, held at the Flower Festival, was supposedly the first global beauty contest.
