The tour begins with the sights of the capital of Georgia Tbilisi-Metekhi temple (XII century), standing on the very edge of the rocky shore of the Kura and the former fortress and residence of the Georgian kings. The Bridge of Peace ”is a pedestrian bridge of glass and steel over the Mtkvari River (Kura), the city has preserved and still operates the oldest Anchishkhatskaya stone church of St. Mary, built in the 6th century. Visit to the ancient city of Mtskheta which is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Monastery temple Jvari, whose name translates as “cross.” According to legend, Jvari is the place where St. Nino established the sacred cross to symbolize the adoption of Christianity by Georgia in the 4th century AD. Kvareli tunnel (or a tunnel?) – It is a section of a real tunnel in the rock, where a wine shop, a tasting room and a small ethnographic exhibition are currently located. All this is located on the territory of the Hareba winery and is regularly visited by tourist groups for money. The architectural ensemble of Grammy in the form in which it has reached our days, was built in the XVI century.

Next trip to Borjomi gorges and Samtskhe Javaket. Borjomi is a health resort with hot springs. A picturesque place with a population of 10,500 inhabitants is located in the gorge of the river Agura at an altitude of 800 m above sea level. Borjomi has long earned worldwide fame as an excellent resort with geothermal mineral springs. Vardzia was created in the XII – XIII centuries during the reign of George III and his daughter Queen Tamara to protect the southern borders of Georgia. Vardzia is not just cave premises that are chaotically dug in a sheer cliff. This is a real multi-storey complex with streets, tunnels and staircases leading past monasteries, temples, fortresses, baths, libraries, residential buildings, etc. In total, over 600 rooms connected by paths that stretched 800 meters long along the mountain, up to 50 in depth meters and a height of eight floors. 2011 did not begin large-scale reconstruction of the Rabat fortress. After 15 months of great work, in August 2012, the renovated fortress was solemnly opened, and immediately hit the list of popular sights of Georgia.
A trip to Kutaisi in the past is the ancient capital of the Colchis and Imereti kingdoms. Today is the second largest city in Georgia. The greatest monument of culture and architecture of Georgia, the Bagrat temple was built in the X-XI centuries, during the reign of the Georgian king Bagrat III (975-1014), the founder of the great family of princes Bagrationi. Gelati is an outstanding monument of Georgian architecture, the center of the spiritual and scientific life of the Middle Ages, the tomb of the Georgian kings, a religious place for pilgrims. It is protected by UNESCO as an object of cultural and historical world heritage. Motsameta rebuilt King Bagrat III in the X century. This is a small, very beautiful monastery with round turrets, topped with pointed tent domes. The monastery stands above the stormy Rioni River and is surrounded by the greenery of the coastal vegetation. A popular tourist site is Satapia reserve. This is a corner of prehistoric nature with relict forests, labyrinths of karst caves and even petrified traces of dinosaurs that lived in these places in the Mesozoic era, 160 million years ago.
