The city of Gori is a large city with a population of about 50,000 people, the administrative center of the Shida Kartli region. Located mainly on the north side of the Kura, at the confluence of the Bolshaya Liakhvi river.
Uplistsikhe– cave city in Georgia. The city is advertised among tourists on a par with Vardzia, and it is visited quite densely. Uplistsikhe amazing its almost 3 thousand years of history. It is believed that it was formed around 1000 BC, and finally became empty only in the XIX century. And all the same, the village of the same name remained nearby, which disappeared somewhere in the 90s.
Stalin Museum – located in the city of Gori. Cult landmark of Georgia and the most famous museum among dozens of Georgian museums. The museum consists of several parts. The largest is the main exhibition building with a recognizable turret. There is all the exposure inside. Nearby is the same house, closed sarcophagus. It can be viewed for free, touched and photographed from the side, but the entrance to the inside is only by ticket. Finally, a carriage is standing next to it, on which Stalin traveled to Tehran. His visit is worth some money.
