Shovi village
The village of Shovi is a balneal-climatic resort, which is located 25 km from the district center of Oni and 230 km from Tbilisi. Shovi is located in the valley of the Chanchakhi River, which is on the slopes of the Greater Caucasus Mountains, at an altitude of 1600 meters. The climate in Shovi is very similar to the alpine – there is a hot summer and a fairly cold winter with snow cover: the average temperature in July is 16 ° C, and in January it is −6 ° C, while there is high humidity – 1103 mm of precipitation falls annually. Coniferous forests spread their healing scent in the air.
The mineral waters of Shovi treat diseases of the respiratory organs, the nervous system and the digestive tract. It is recommended – treatment for at least 10 days.
