Kvareli is a small town in eastern Georgia, in the picturesque and full of tart grape region of Kakheti.
Kvareli fortress is a monument of architecture of the city. This fortress belongs to the 16-17 centuries, has the form of a square with four towers. It is located on Chavchavadze Street in the very center of the city.
Kvareli tunnel (warehouse-shop of the Hareba winery) It is a section of a real tunnel in the rock, where a wine shop, a tasting room and a small ethnographic exhibition are currently located. All this is located on the territory of the Hareba winery and is regularly visited by tourist groups for money.
The product range of the plant includes wines “Kindzmarauli”, “Kvareli”, “Mukuzani”, there are also rare sorts of wines of long aging. In addition to wines, the factory produces cognacs “Kvareli”, “Eniseli” and “Gremi”.

In the area of the town of Kvareli, on the right bank of the Intsoba River, stands the 16th century Gremi Castle on a hill. The historical monument consists of the Church of the Archangels Michael and Gabriel, the bell tower and the three-story palace. This is all that remains of the once magnificent medieval city that stood on the Great Silk Road. Gremi is a candidate for UNESCO World Heritage List.
Monastery Nekresi, preserved in the valley of the Alazani River, consists of several religious buildings of different times. The earliest building is a small church of the end of the 4th century. It was built shortly after the proclamation of Christianity as the official religion of the state.
